My new(ish) jacket is extremely handy. When I'm cold - jacket. When my shirt needs pressing - jacket. When my top is "too revealing" - jacket. When I want to look cute (because my jacket is made of awesome like that) - jacket. [info]diptz, saranghae. <3

Ever want something so badly, you could feel the aluminum casing under your fingertips? Maybe not. But that's nowhere near how much I want this laptop.

It is gorgeous and sleek and classy, and I WANT IT SO BAD. : | 8 hours of battery life, 320GB harddrive, 4GB RAM, in a 4.4lb package. And did I mention how THIN it is? Less than an inch at its thickest point. And I'm not even into electronics...

I also pretty much break down whenever I see this.

It's the Amazon Kindle which stores up to 1500 e-books. The level of my desire for this object has surpassed rational thought. Clearly, I need to marry rich.

Anyone want to drop $260 on the biggest literary step since the printed word? I promise I'll be very grateful. ;)

And I'm fangirling when I should be working. Bad, Robyn. : |

I AM SO HAPPY.

There is a new bookstore in town called Bookland. Now, we don't have any of the fancy ones like Barnes and Nobles or Borders, so when we get new stores, I have to spazz. Especially when they're as pretty and well-stocked as this one. I love it. I literally did not want to leave. They have all my favourites, AND inspire me to have even more favourites. From the moment I stepped in the store, I was like this :DDDDDDDDD

It's got a cozy layout, with seats and carpets, and the book shelves are actual shelves and not just stacks. And they're wood (faux or otherwise :P)!

I even asked the manager if she was hiring. XD She said they weren't, really, but she took my contact info any way, so I might have a job this Christmas. *crosses fingers*

Okay, I have to go wash my hair, but I really needed to spazz for a bit. Highlight of my day.

Oh, and so was this:

Idn't it the cutest thing ever? :DDDD

I got several birthday wishes; I'm so grateful for all of them. Even on Facebook, people who I haven't spoken to in ages (and people who I miss a lot) were leaving all sorts of thoughtful messages. I ♥ my friends.

Thank you, Ms. Ursula for my virtual gift! It is splendid and prettiful and I love it! :D

Exams start next week. Eurgh. I have Math, Chemistry and Biology back to back to back. I'm worried about Math, but I figure I can prepare enough to at least survive that one. Chemistry will blow me out of the water, I'm sure. [info]diptz is so tired of hearing me complain about it. I don't blame her; I complain a lot :| It's hard y'know. But the textbook seems to help. I just need to practice. :\

(Should probably be a teensy bit more concerned about Biology... oh well)

I have two performances on Saturday, maybe. The first is a video shoot in Negril (woo, exotic) and then a concert at a prep school. I don't particularly want to go to Negril, and I still have to ask Daddy about it. He'll probably say no. :\ And then after my last exam the week after, I have a concert at a hotel. A purple hotel :D And THEN I can relax and enjoy my holidays. Whew.

You know what I miss? Sleep.

My livejournal turned 2 on Tuesday -- Happy Birthday, [info]raspberry_rave! *pets*

I turned 18 about 2 hours ago. Ask me why I'm still up. Go on, I dare you :| I have a Chemistry test at 8:30... (allegedly)

*stretches and yawns* I should have been beta-ing a fic for Vicky, but I got sidetracked by icon searching. I have the Christmas batch(?) in now. The only real Christmas icon is one that says ELF -- THAT one *points*. [info]diptz, three guesses why I chose that one (and the first two don't count :P)

I should change out the default, actually. Oh, and I've got fic plotted :| New plots PLUS the old stuff. Why not add Hanchul and Qmi to the exhaustive list of D/G? fml.

And I haven't watched Glee in a while either :(

HAPPY WINTER HOLIDAYS, EVERYONE.

I think I should try NanoWrimo next year, even though I'll be at uni. I've wanted to for about two years now and just never got around to it. It's not like I don't have plot ideas...

I'm doing well in school~ Which is a complete shock to me since I generally feel overwhelmed by the sheer exhaustiveness of it all. I'm not omplaining, though. :D Hurrah. Bio grades are up; Math grades look like they're comijng up and Caribbean Studies is turning out to be less difficult than I'd estimated. Chemistry still makes me bite my nails. I think it's because it's the one subject that I really care about, and I don't know: Chemistry is ridiculousy complex this year. And as much as I love learning, I'm wondering how this'll all stay in my head on an exam. :| It's worrying. I just need to read, probably.

Gah, I need to catch up with you all! I miss you ALL and even though I'm not commenting you're all still in my thoughts. Hope you're okay :* ♥

Look at me, still awake at 3a.m. on a school morning :|

I've been revamping the profile/layout. Still not 100% happy with it (even though it's gorgeous) and I may change it to the one with the drop down header. lol. I been busy.

I don't need to mention that my bacon will be fried if the parents catch me up this late.

Night!

I haven't been on the computer in weeks even though we now have two PCs. Well, one doesn't have a modem and I've been using that but whatever~ I miss my fandoms :\

This keyboard makes more typos :\ Since I've been gone, we upgraded to WIndows 7. I hate it. I want my Windows Prof back. It kept me warm with its user-friendliness. I even want the old keyboard with its fading characters back, too. :\ My life is running away from me.

Utterly failed at dance practice today. I don't have the energy/intensity required for any of the three dances we're doing and, ugh. For something that I took up as a serious hobby, I hate the way I want to be good at it. Even though I'm not; I'm not even sure if I can be. Whatever.

I need to get up tomorrow to do laundry, and I haven't bathed yet. Not pretty. lol.

Sod it, fanfiction's better anyway.

First wave of Unit Tests is almost over, and my head is still reeling. I'm so tired~ all the time. Not sleepy or lazy, but acutely mentally and physically EXHAUSTED. The Caribbean Studies project wrung me out; I've been running on E these last two weeks. I'm not eating right, not sleeping right, not living right. And it hurts all over. Maybe I have too much on my plate...

Is this what growing up feels like?

Guess the quote! ^_^

I need to update Livejournal with more regularity; it helps my mind clear itself of clutter and I like to write things down anyway. Short things, not the long summary-type entries that I have to resort to posting.

I haven't watched Glee in two three weeks, today. :\ I watched half of the episode two weeks ago, and that's it. Must download.

I got 76% on an Analytical Chemistry quiz the other day. Not bad, but not very good either. And I'm supposed to be good at Analytical Chem. I stopped sleeping in Organic classes, too. Probably has to do with sitting at the front of class now ;)

We're on Part II of 'Watching Plants Grow' in Biology. Eurgh. I'm being so lazy this year~ I don't know what's wrong with me *sigh* I have so much less to do, in terms of social obligations, but I think Rotaract has decided to take over my life, and my natural procrastination skills got added to the lot, for overall unnecessary stress.

I will survive.

Happy Birthday, Lee Donghae!

Before me! --> Packages are now zooming towards [info]rainpuddle13 and [info]heyurs! They should be there by the third week of Oct. Look out, ladies ^_^

I need to mastermind some sort of mass expulsion from the library, because hello it's mine, thankyouverymuch, and I don't take kindly to so many people being there for no apparent reason. The library loses it quiet-study appeal when there're no available seats and the dozens of respiring bodies cancel the effect of blessed air conditioning. Not cool, first years. >:|

Classes are mostly meh. I don't get to exercise my control freak tendencies in Caribbean Studies ;_; because I have to share with other control freaks, and the better part of my nature says I have to be nice and let other people have fun too. On the plus side, I get to be all surprise!smart in Math (now that [info]diptz isn't there, because she kinda pwns at Math), and when I'm not facepalming I feel quite smug. LOL. In a strange turn of events, Biology labs are more frustrating that Chemistry what with the totally-fail-wtf expermient where we had to watch a plant grow. And then it didn't. So we had to repeat the experiment and, oh look, it still didn't grow. >.> It's no wonder that I prefer titrations and molar calculations at this point, really. And we get lab coats~ 8D

Congratulations to everyone who participated/won something in the last exchange! You guys all rock for completing an entire (or more!) fic within the dealine. :)

The beach party was fun. :D We had some last minute drop outs and the people who we arranged the date specifically so they could attend couldn't make it. Does not matter. It was still a blast. I'm going to miss the boy dreadfully. I had a crush on him for the longest while (talent is attractive), but now we're just friends. I hope we stay in touch. :*

Speaking of friends, all my friends from school who were a year ahead of me have gone on to Uni. I shall feel terribly lonely this year, but I have the best friend and the library to cheer me up. The cost of school fees is amazing, and not in the good sense. I will definitey have to try harder to get a scholarship.

My external examination grades cam out the past two weeks. I did well :D Top marks in everything except Math. Mum was pleased.

The fic I was moaning about got completed on time, though I'm less than proud of the work. After 'Of All the Gin Joints', I got used to being satisfied with my writing, but a deadline just reminds me how hurried I used to be. :\ I have plans to go back and make it as epic as it was threatening to be - it actually had a plot, can you believe that? - but heaven knows how I operate.

What is your least favorite day of the week? And your favorite?

Least fave: Wednesday - it's kind of half-and-half. I hate middles.

Most favourite: Thursday! :D I have a good record with Thursdays; they're very special to me :)

Gmail won't work for me :( I think my net connection is wavering.

USAIN BOLT - TWO WORLD RECORDS IN BERLIN :DDD

JAMAICA, TO THE WORLD

Patriotism isn't really my thing, but the kid's amazing. And I say kid when he's some five years older than me. Just a boy, really, but so special. All of Jamaica beams with pride.

I've been reading: The Fiction Class, Endymion Spring and The Book Thief are all good books. I recommend them to anyone, particularly The Book Thief. Zusak places Death as the narrator of a story about a stealer of novels in World War II Germany. It's good stuff.

Enough procrastination, I've got a one-shot to write. Wish me luck, y'all. ;)
